Mondays. Sometimes it takes a little something extra to get the week going. So grab that first cup of coffee (or 4th cup, I won’t judge) and stop in for a quick quote or cartoon to start the week off right.
About TGIM
Do you remember back in October when Pastor Rod challenged us to trade work for calling? Let’s recap. (Or catch the whole sermon here.)
Trading Work for Calling
#1. Our faith gives us clarity on the purpose of work.
All work has dignity and purpose. It has the potential of being an act of worship to God.
Esther 4:14– “And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
Ephesians 6:7– Do your work with enthusiasm. Work as if you were serving the Lord, not as if you were serving only men and women.
#2. Our faith helps us do the right thing (not the easy thing).
#3. Our faith gives us a community that helps shape the way we do our work.
What does it mean to be Christ, to reflect Christ, in each channel of culture?

If your weren’t so thrilled to launch into a new workweek, think about why. Is there dysfunction stealing your joy? Do you have clarity about what you are doing this week?
Let’s take back Mondays by choosing to acknowledge dysfunction, giving it to God, and replacing it with joy and gratitude.
Thank God it’s Monday!
