Wow! What an amazing morning we have had today! Great speakers, fun snacks, and opportunities to connect with others who want to be the change in cultural channels in our city.
One of the must-do activities at Blue is browsing the bookstore. Hearts & Minds Bookstore curates a deep collection of work around topics we discuss at Blue. But which one should you choose? We asked Byron Borger to give us some of his top picks.
#1- All of the speaker’s books are here. Many speakers will be doing signings. Check for details in your program.
#2- Faith, work and culture is a great place to start.
Timothy Keller’s Every Good Endeavor is a great place to start. As is How Then Should We Work? by Hugh Whelchel. Both provide a wide view on influence and God’s call to cultivate culture well.
#3- Find more joy
Michael Wittmer’s new book, Worldly Saints reminds us that God cares about all aspects of our lives and wants us to experience great joy.
#4- Get inspired
Serious Dreams is a collection of graduation speeches which Byron collected to share poignant stories around living a life of bold ideas.
Hope that get’s you started on ‘living Blue’ beyond the conference. If you have a specific interest, stop by and talk to Byron. He can point you in the right direction too. Enjoy!
