Event This Thursday: Q Commons, Washington DC

Q Commons 2015 is kicking off this week with a DC-wide event on Thursday, February 26th. Q Commons empowers learning and collaboration in our community by gathering both global and local leaders to discuss big Questions. (Get it? Q is for ‘question’.)

A group of us attended the inaugural event in October and it was FABULOUS to hear from the speakers as well as share stories with fellow participants. This month there is another great line-up of topics from race to urban renewal to challenge how we think about and engage in our community. Plus, we have a chance to cheer on Aaron Graham, who many of you will remember as a faculty member from Blue 2014.

Global Q Talks (Simulcast):

  • Malcolm Gladwell | Legitimacy
  • Soledad O’Brien | Race in America
  • Mark Burnett | Virtue in Entertainment

Local DC-Based Q Talks (Live):

  • Bill Stevens | Teaching Urban Renewal
  • Rohulamin Quander | Neighborhood Renewal
  • Aaron Graham | Faith & Urban Renewal

Between each set of speakers there is an opportunity for response conversations with other attenders here in DC. The speakers pose questions and you break up into small groups to discuss your experiences.

Registration and additional details are available on the website: Q Commons
